About me

I’m Molly, and for several years I worked at my local register office, marrying hundreds of happy couples in both the register office itself and wedding venues around my town. I found my way into the role by pure luck, at a time when I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do with my life, but I was instantly hooked.

I loved every part of the job, from helping couples shape their vows to calming a nervous bride just moments before she walked down the aisle. Seeing my name written next to a couple’s each week never got old; it meant I was about to play a small part in one of the happiest days of their lives.

So how did I end up moving to Sicily? Well, a friend once asked me to officiate her wedding on the island. I’ll admit, I was nervous at first, saying yes felt daunting with friends watching and expectations high. But after working closely with her and her partner, writing a fully personalised ceremony, supporting them individually with their vows, and helping loved ones prepare their readings, I knew it was going to be something special. Having the freedom to completely personalise a ceremony, tell a couple’s love story, and see how people reacted was my kind of addiction.

So what do you do in your mid-twenties when you realise you might be slightly addicted to creating meaningful wedding ceremonies? You move somewhere beautiful and do more of it. Within six months of that wedding, I had my first booking, and within a year I was living in Sicily with my husband and our dog, officiating weddings in some of the most incredible venues imaginable.​
